We are delighted to introduce you to Shire Hall’s new Director, Nina, who is passionate about the countless stories that our magnificent building holds as well as sharing the same core values that Shire Hall embodies.

David Clarke, Chairman of the Shire Hall Trust said: ‘On behalf of the Shire Hall Dorchester Trust, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Nina Corey as our new Director of Shire Hall Museum in Dorchester.

Nina has been working for the National Trust for over 7 years at a range of different National Trust properties, including Osterley Park & House, The Workhouse and Tatershal Castle and most recently, Arlington Court Carriage Museum. Nina will be taking up her new post in October and is already liaising with our team in advance of her arrival’.

Nina will be continuing the fantastic work that Abbie King has contributed to the Museum over the past five years and the team look forward to giving her a warm welcome.

Nina, Director of Shire Hall Museum said: I’m excited to be taking on the role of Director at Shire Hall in October. I’ve been working in heritage for over 15 years in a wide variety of sites, including museums, medieval underground passages, stately homes, a castle and a workhouse!

What really inspires me is people’s stories – particularly those that were less heard in society. Shire Hall has such a powerful story and I can’t wait to find out more about it and be part of its future. I look forward to meeting you all soon and getting to know you’.
