Join us at Shire Hall Museum for an inspiring conversation with artists Jem Main and Robert Golden.

Jem Main’s career in art and arts education has spanned over 40 years, including leading Dorset Visual Arts and Dorset Arts Week. Currently, he has an exhibition of drawings entitled Migration, Myth, Metaphor at The Sherborne.

Robert Golden’s career has spanned journalism, documentary making, photography, writing and more. But what connects all of his work is his ongoing search for what gives meaning to life, what counts for others.

This intimate dialogue will explore Jem and Robert’s personal reflections on their creative journeys, and explore the powerful themes of migration and identity. It will also be an opportunity to discover the stories that shaped Robert Golden’s new exhibition Searching for the Motherland, offering fresh insights into his artistic vision and process.

Attendees will also have the chance to engage in a Q&A session, followed by an exclusive opportunity to explore the exhibition up close. Don’t miss this chance to connect with the art and the artists in a truly meaningful way!
